If you're in a hurry for a chilled glass of wine, remove the cork before you chill it - it'll cool a lot quicker!
If you sprinkle salt on the ice before you put the wine in the ice bucket, it will chill much faster!
Wine is stored horizontally to keep the corks soft.

What an amazing website this is! I’ve played all afternoon on it (I should have been working!) The cooking basics in the information side is really excellent – loads of info that I never even thought about. Brilliant to see where cuts of meat come from. I bought some Japanese Sake to go with the simple sushi recipes on the site. You’re definitely in my favourites box!
