Tandoori Chicken Kebabs
A popular Indian dish which is usually served as a main course but we have transformed it into an easy to eat starter which incorporates fresh vegetables.
Vegetable Pakoras
This is a delicious starter where the vegetables are coated in a lovely spicy crispy batter. You can use an assortment of vegetables: courgettes peppers aubergines button mushrooms cauliflower and onion rings. The pakoras are at their best when freshly fried but if you do not wish to fry at the last minute prepare them in advance and place them on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 200C/400G/Gas6 for 10 minutes prior to serving.
Mixed Vegetable Curry
A fairly mild mixed vegetable curry dish which can be substituted for other vegetables depending on taste preference!
Cod in Spicy Tomato Sauce
A very different way of serving fish. The tomato sauce is lovely and spicy but not really hot. It is great served with Pilau Rice and Saag Aloo.
Lassi
A popular sweet, cooling dring dound widely in India.  This can be served as an acompaniment to a spicy dish or as a simplre dessert on its own.

A spicy marinade with authentic Indian flavours.  Best eaten with your fingers - messy, but worth it!  Just remember to provide some finger bowls and towels for your guests.

Papaya Raita
A spicy, tangy fruity yoghurt to complement any Indian dish.
Onion Bhajis
A lightly spiced batter made from Gram flour which is soya bean based.  Chopped onion is added to the batter which is then fried.  This gives you a lovely outside crisp batter ball with a softer onion centre.  Delicious!
Pork Vindaloo Curry
A fiery curry that gets its hotness from the chillies but if you wish for an even hotter curry simply add more red chillies. The VIN in the title refers to the vinegar that is added to tenderise the meat. The vinegar has to be balanced with the other flavours such as chilli.
Creamy Coconut Balti Chicken
A lightly spiced aromatic curry with a hint of coconut.
Cucumber Raita
A simple cooling accompaniment to any Indian dish. The cumin coriander and mint combined with the coolness of the yoghurt and cucumber creates a subtle 'kick' to this dish.
Lamb Koftas
The Indian version of meatballs, they have alovely hint of spices and are delicious eaten hot or cold.  For more than 4 people, you may need to cook these in batches.
Aromatic Yellow Rice
A lovely very lightly spiced yellow rice to accompany many Indian dishes. A great accompaniment to any authentic Indian meal.
Indian Bean Soup
A warming hearty soup and if served with chapattis or naan bread it is a meal in itself. We have used canned black eyed beans in this dish which are available in most supermarkets. The flavours of the soup improve if it is made the day before it is required as this allows time for all the flavours to blend and develop.
Lamb Dupiaza
Chunky pieces of lamb flavoured with chillies and spices become coated in the yoghurt sauce when cooking.
Saag Aloo
This mix of potatoes and spinach lends itself to accompany meat dishes but is also wonderful served on its own with naan bread.
Chicken Curry
A basic Indian curry dish which can be adapted using another meat or shellfish like prawns. A simple dish using many store cupboard ingredients.
Chicken Tikka Bites
An alternative to the usual chicken tikka these are served in bite sized pieces which can make a fantastic starter accompaniment or snack!

The most popular dish in the UK which is mostly associated with India even though it is not strictly speaking authentic! This is a spicy dish although not too hot as it is cooled down with the cream and yoghurt which results in a balanced tasty dish.
Mini Chapattis
A simple accompaniment to any Indian dish using basic store cupboard ingredients. This dish is ideal as it can be served straight from the pan whilst still warm or can be wrapped in tin foil and kept warm in the oven until needed.
Fresh Fruit Salad
A refreshing and colourful medley of fresh fruit served with a few sprigs of chopped mint to round off an Indian meal.
East India
A slightly tart but sophisticated cocktail that is served in short glasses.
Beef and Mushrooms in a Spicy Coconut Curry
The spices really enhance the beef flavour in this dish. If you want a spicier flavour, the coriander and cumin seeds can be dry roasted before grinding. Served with Thai Sticky Rice and a fruity relish, this makes a very easy dinner party dish.
Chicken Makhami
This is a famous dish with chicken simmered in a rich creamy tomato and buttery sauce. Chicken Makhami can be made using chicken breast fillets but the chicken flavour is enhanced by using chicken thighs.
Coriander and Coconut Chutney
This is not the normal cooked type of chutney but it is a fresh accompaniment which is ideal to serve with spicy Asian style barbecued food. It is also good as a side dish to curries.
