Plan a Whole Menu

Making things easier for a single dish is great. But what if you want to plan out a whole meal, or even a whole weeks’ worth of eating.

The Evening Inn is here to help with our unique MenuPlanner feature.

As you find the recipes you want you can add them to your planner at the click of a button. The planner lets you build up any number of menu plans using any number of recipes.

As you add a recipe to one of your plans you simply tell the system how many people you want to cook for and what time you want the dish on the table. The Planner will then calculate the ingredients and work out the times for you adding these to the recipes already set for that menu.

Lets plan out a dinner party for 6 to see it in action…

Lets try a soup for starter…

We’re going to make a new plan called “John, Mary, Jean and Tony Dinner Party” so we know which one is which.

We want to start eating at 8pm on Saturday.

That’s done.

Now add in the main course at 8:30 and the dessert at 9:10. The system already knows we are building up this menu so we simply add more dishes from the recipe system or from our favourites.

Everything is now planned – as easy as that!!

Next we need to use the Planner to help us organise for the meal – more on the next page…

Whoever had the idea for an "interactive" cook book should be given a medal ... !!
For a non-cuisine freak like myself an absolute boon ...
I cooked for some friends at the weekend (1st time ever) and found it really easy and woah ... loads of fun too ... !!
well done to the eveninginn.com crew and many thanks to Steve and Miles for bringing it to our attention.
What an amazing website this is! I’ve played all afternoon on it (I should have been working!) The cooking basics in the information side is really excellent – loads of info that I never even thought about. Brilliant to see where cuts of meat come from. I bought some Japanese Sake to go with the simple sushi recipes on the site. You’re definitely in my favourites box!
