Searching for a Recipe

If you’re looking for something to cook the first step is to search our database of recipes.

You can either browse through the recipe sections using the ‘Recipes’ menu on the bar above or go straight to what you want using the search tool at the top of the page.

Using the search tool you can either start with a type of food you want, e.g. Italian, Japanese, etc., an ingredient you want to use, e.g. chicken, chilli, etc. or by the recipe reference number if you know which recipe you want. When you do a search we’ll report back instantly with the recipes we think you’d like.

You can browse through the list, expand each one instantly for more details

and then go off to view the full details – you’ll need to be logged in for this but we’ve added a sample recipe for you to have a quick play with.

‘Now this is good – a food and cookery site which works for those who are renowned for culinary muppetry! This excellent interactive cookbook calculates ingredient quantities for how many servings you need and adds a time scheduler which tells you exactly when to add each ingredient in order to get your meal on the table in time.’
Miles Mendoza, Steve Wright in the Afternoon, Radio 2

Whoever had the idea for an "interactive" cook book should be given a medal ... !!
For a non-cuisine freak like myself an absolute boon ...
I cooked for some friends at the weekend (1st time ever) and found it really easy and woah ... loads of fun too ... !!
well done to the eveninginn.com crew and many thanks to Steve and Miles for bringing it to our attention.
